What programs/services does Fresh Start offer since the agency is no longer an emergency shelter?
Beginning in July, 2021 Fresh Start Frankfort's focus is to offer longer term transitional housing programs for single, adult females. Our programs are designed for people seeking a longer term, structured, safe and sober living environment to learn life skills, make positive, healthy community connections, and obtain services/training to gain self-efficacy, self-sufficiency and stability (physical, financial and emotional). The goals of our programs are to assist people in moving beyond what brought them to a housing and life crisis and for each resident to be able to successfully transfer from our programs and obtain and maintain a permanent, stable housing situation.
Can I bring my pet?
While we love pets, we do not allow them to remain with clients while they are residing and enrolled in our transitional housing program. We do, however, work with partnering agencies to find a foster placement for the pet.
